We respect each other by using the principles of anonymity and confidentiality. We identify ourselves by first names only, and we do not repeat what is said by others during meetings or in private conversations between members.
We also keep in mind that there is enough time for everyone. If time runs out and some of us can’t share during a meeting, we can speak with other members after the meeting or call someone on the phone later.
For additional information about face-to-face meetings, telephone, and online meetings, go to www.debtorsanonymous.org.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR REGIONAL DA GROUPS: All DA groups are required to renew their meeting registration annually with the GSO by June 30th and provide updates whenever meeting information or contact information changes. If a DA group fails to renew their registration, they will be deleted from the National DA meeting list. Please ensure that your meeting is listed on the national site at http://debtorsanonymous.org/getting_started/index.php/find/findameeting.
DA members will be happy to see you at meetings. We hope you will also feel comfortable with us. Many meetings set aside time to invite newcomers to share. DA meetings have some guidelines so everyone can feel safe and free to talk, even about uncomfortable money topics:
[A] ADA/Wheelchair Accessible
[B] Business Debtors Anonymous (BDA) meeting
[C] Closed Meeting (meeting is open only to DA members)
