In DA, our purpose is threefold: to stop incurring unsecured debt, to share our experience with newcomers, and to reach out to other debtors. Debtors Anonymous is a non-profit organization based on the Twelve-Step principles of Alcoholics Anonymous. Compulsive debting can also affect those who are self-employed or business owners. For them, Business Debtors Anonymous meetings are available to address their specific needs.
Professionally, our membership comes from an incredibly broad spectrum. We have many local members who work in the arts and entertainment, construction and real estate, freelancing in professional services, healthcare and mental health, lawyers and accountants, nonprofits, salespeople, school teachers, scientists, trainers, writers, and countless other fields.
We welcome all suggestions for how me might reach people who are experiencing the pain and sorrow of debt and credit problems in the Northwest US region and invite them to our meetings. Many may find ongoing help and support through the DA program, with meetings available throughout our region including Washington, Alaska, Idaho, and Montana..
DA has a long history of cooperation, but not affiliation, with outside organizations.
We are happy to cooperate with members of the media by supplying information and / or members to be interviewed.
We seek to be a credible community resource by providing information and communications to the general public, the media, and helping professionals.
